Featured by Justin Timberlake at the 2009 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the Shelby Forest General Store is either Memphis' best- or its worst-kept secret and home to its world-famous cheeseburgers.  Just ask Justin, he'll tell you.

The store is located at the intersection of Benjestown Road and Locke Road, right between two entrances to Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park.  This prime location makes the general store your local headquarters for everything you need, including dry goods, Frisbees, live bait, cold drinks, and food prepared fresh on the grill.  Fishing and hunting licenses are sold at the store, and it is also a game-check station.  It truly is the one stop that everyone makes during a visit to Shelby Forest.

Make sure to stop in for steak night, every Friday from 6-9 PM.  You'll receive a full meal including a 10 oz rib eye steak from Charlie's Meat Market and all the fixins for less than $10. You'll also get to hear live bluegrass.
